Today I begin my series of animated digital drawings, titled Daily Blips, for Art Prize 8.
I have been drawing daily on my iPhone, first using an app called Brushes, and then later using an update titled Brushes XP for the past two years. I started posting the "finished" drawing on the Blipfoto website,
https://www.blipfoto.com/jpbegley, on January 1, 2015 and have been posting continuously since then.
For ArtPrize 8, I will post these daily animations via the web on a monitor for visitors at the Artesian Distillers Hemingway Lounge. I usually use found images for my jumping off point for each daily drawing, For the Daily Blips for ArtPrize, I am hoping to use images from around the ArtPrize venues for this inspiration.
I encourage ArtPrize visitors to send me images of art, installations, performances or interactions they have had visiting ArtPrize 8 for me to use. If I use their particular image, I will credit their collaboration, and hopefully transform the original work into a vituelle soziale Zeichnung!
